Standard Duty Single Sided Deadbolt | PDQ KV125

The PDQ KV125 is a Commercial Grade Single Sided Deadbolt. The PDQ KV Series deadbolt are ideal for Light Commercial Installations, Low Security Applications and Residential Applications.

The single sided deadbolt provides security, is easy to install and is locked and unlocked with a thumbturn. It does not come with a key, so you do not have to worry about locating a key to open the lock. One great use of single sided deadbolts is in hotels with adjoining rooms. Adjoining rooms in hotels provide convenience when occupied by family and friends, but also provide security when occupied by different parties. Adjoining hotel rooms can have either one or two doors installed in a single door frame. If a single door is installed, then a single sided deadbolt, like this PDQ KV125, can be installed on both sides of the door. This will require the occupants of both rooms to unlock their door to allow access between the rooms.

In some instances two doors are installed in a single door frame. This is generally done to limit noise transmission. If two doors are installed then a single sided deadbolt with a blank plate outside, like the PDQ KV125BK, can be installed on either door. The blank plates will face each other.
