The Von Duprin QEL3327AEO is a grade 1, narrow stile surface vertical rod exit device featuring quiet electric latch retraction. The quiet electric latch retraction allows remote retraction of the latchbolt. Latchbolt retraction on the Von Duprin QEL3327 surface vertical rod exit device can be either momentary or for extended time periods. Oftentimes the quiet electric latch retraction is paired with access control systems such as card readers to temporarily retract the latchbolt. Othertimes, this Von Duprin QEL3327A surface vertical rod exit device is connected with building automation system to retract the latchbolt for extended time periods, similar to manual dogging.

The Von Duprin 33 surface vertical rod exit device with QEL can be used in places such as hospitals, libraries, museums and theaters where ambient noise can be disruptive.

The Von Duprin 3327A surface vertical rod exit device can be installed on all types of single and double doors and fits stiles as narrow as 1-3/4" (44mm). The 3327svr exit device comes with a grooved mechanism case.
