The Von Duprin QEL3347AEO-F is a fire concealed vertical rod exit device, featuring quiet electric latch retraction. The quiet electric latch retraction feature allows you to add remote latch retraction capability to your exit device. By combining this Von Duprin QEL3347A-F fire concealed vertical rod with a card reader, you can allow momentary retraction only for authorized personnel. So all a person has to do is swipe their card. If it is a valid credential, latch of the Von Duprin QEL3347-F, will retract momentarily and the person can enter the facility. You can also configure this quiet electric latch retraction to allow free entry and exit for extended time periods. Since this is a fire rated opening, using quiet latch retraction has several additional requirements. Such openings must be self latching and self closing. To satisfy these requirements the QEL must be paired with an automatic operator and under the control of an automatic fire alarm system when used on fire rated openings.
