The Falcon MEL-F-25-C-EO is a Grade 1 concealed vertical rod exit device featuring Motorized Electric Latch Retraction. The Motorized Electric Latch Retraction feature adds electronic access control to your exit device. So now you can replace manual dogging with motorized electric latch retraction on your Falcon MEL-F25C exit device. This adds convenience, because you can now remotely retract the latchbolt.

Motorized electric latch retraction on your Falcon MEL-F-25-C fire cvr exit device can be used with credential readers to unlatch doors momentarily for authorized users. Motorized electric latch retraction on your Falcon MEL-F-25C exit device can also be incorporated with systems to retract latches for extended periods of time to allow free entry.

Since the Falcon MEL-F25-C is a fire exit hardware, it must be self latching. So in order to use motorized electric latch retraction, an automatic fire alarm system must be incorporated to drop power to fire rated MEL devices in case of fire.
