The Von Duprin EL3548AEO-F is a grade 1, fire rated, concealed vertical rod exit device featuring electric latch retraction. The electric latch retraction features allows you to remotely dogg the exit device to allow free entry or exit. This can be either momentary or for extended time periods. This is a very useful feature to have, especially in settings like schools, universities, hospitals etc., where you have many exit devices installed and you need to allow free entry and exit at certain times of the day, and restricted entry at certain times. Going to each door to physically retract the latchbolt will take time. So you have electric latch retraction - which now lets you remotely perform this task.

The Von Duprin EL3548A fire concealed vertical rod exit device has been designed for all types of single and double hollow metal doors up to 8' x 10' (2438mm x 2540mm) and can be installed on door stiles as narrow as 3 1/2" (90mm). The device comes with a smooth mechanism case.
