Von Duprin QEL9827EO | Grade 1 Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device with Quiet Electric Latch Retraction, Smooth Mechanism Case
The Von Duprin QEL9827EO is a certified ANSI/BHMA A156.3 2014, Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit device for all types of single or double doors. The device comes equipped with Quiet Electric Latch Retraction (QEL) feature. This feature is an alternative to manual dogging. The Von Duprin QEL9827EO is an exit only device which has a smooth mechanism case. With the QEL feature the exit only functionality of the Von Duprin QEL9827 Surface Vertical Rod Panic Bar changes to a push/pull operation i.e. it allows free exit and entry. This can be done either momentarily or for extended periods of time. The Quiet Electric Latch Retraction exit device has an added advantage that it can be used in places where low operational noise is desired. Such places may include hospitals, libraries, museums, theaters etc.
