The Von Duprin QEL9847WDCEO-F LBR is a Grade 1, fire rated concealed vertical rod less bottom rod exit device for wood doors which comes with quiet electric latch retraction. The quiet electric latch retraction feature is a cheaper alternative to electric latch retraction and is used in places where low operational noise is desired. Using quiet electric latch retraction on a fire rated device comes with additional requirements. They must be self latching and self closing. To satisfy these requirements the QEL must be paired with an automatic operator and under the control of an automatic fire alarm system when used on fire rated openings.
